The New Lean



Getting lean is the new buzz among the men these days. So how does one get ripped?

Remember the 80/20 rule. 80% is dietary effort and 20% your gym workout (focus on high intensity training)

No amount of sit-ups would contribute to a visible 8-pack if you don't watch your diet. There is no one single magic diet to follow. Be certain that you are consuming fewer calories than what you are burning through your workout. Give your fat loss a boost by increasing your metabolism by eating more frequently (5-6 times daily) in smaller amounts.

Remember to track your protein intake - 1 gram of protein per pound of body weight to prevent muscle loss. You wouldn't want to be shrinking in overall size but maintaining muscle bulk and shedding the "fat" weight.

Dieting requires discipline. Make sure you have a plan or you'll be planning to fail.
You need to watch your increase of appetite and succumbing to temptation on fat food but take food like protein shakes that fills and packs the stomach with goodness. These will help keep the blood sugar levels in check and controlling hunger.

Add focus and determination to the equation and you are on your way to ripped glory!
